The laptop comes with AMD Radeon graphics card with in-built vega mobile graphics. Acer has launched two models of the laptop- Acer Chromebook Spin 514 (CP514-1H) and Acer Chromebook Enterprise Spin 514 (CP514-1WH).
Both the laptops offer a 14-inch Full HD IPS touch display. The screen comes with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass on the top. The company says that the Chromebook Spin 514 can last up to 10 hours on battery.
Acer Chromebook Enterprise Spin 514 and Chromebook Spin come with up to 16 GB DDR4 DRAM and up to 256 GB of fast PCIe NVMe SSD storage. The newly launched laptops weigh 1.55 kg and are 17.35mm thin.
The duo features a 360-degree convertible design and comes with a metal chassis made of anodized, sandblasted aluminium. The laptops will come in three colour options- Pure Silver, Steel Gray and Mist Green.
Acer says that both the laptops offer a military-grade durability and can survive drops from heights up to 122cm.
For connectivity, the new Chromebooks have two USB Type-C ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, and a microSD card reader.
Select models of the Acer Chromebook Spin 514 will also offer an HDMI port.
The laptop comes with integrated Google Assistant and is equipped with Bluetooth version 5.0 along with dual-band Wi-Fi 5 (802.11a/b/g/n/ac) with 2×2 MU-MIMO technology for wireless connections.
Price and availability
Acer Chromebook Spin 514 (CP514-1H) will be available in North America in February with a price tag starting at $479.99 (approx Rs 35,000). Acer Chromebook Enterprise Spin 514 (CP514-1WH) will be available in North America in March at USD 749.99 onwards.
