Asus Chromebook CX9, Chromebook Flip CX5 launched at CES 2021


NEW DELHI: Asus has unveiled Chromebook CX9 and Chromebook Flip CX5 laptops at CES 2021. Both the laptops are powered by 11th generation Intel Core processors paired with Intel Iris X graphics.

The company has announced that the Asus Chromebook CX9 will be available starting Q2 in North America. On the other hand, the Asus Chromebook Flip CS5 will go on sale starting Q1 in North America. The company has not yet revealed the pricing of the two devices.

Asus Chromebook CX9 specifications
The Asus Chromebook CX9 comes with a 14-inch full HD display with 1080×1920 pixel resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio. The device is powered by Intel Core i7 processor paired with Iris Xe graphics.

The laptop runs Android Chrome OS and it packs 16GB of RAM and 2TB SSD storage. The Chromebook CX9 features an HD webcam with privacy shutter. The Chromebook comes with a backlit and spill-resistant keyboard and dual speakers tuned by Harman Kardon. The company has also included Titan C security and it will also receive software updates.

The device comes equipped with a fingerprint sensor for password-free login. The laptop is backed by a 66Whr battery.

Asus Chromebook Flip CX5 specifications
The Asus Chromebook Flip CX5 comes in White colour option with a 360-degree hinge. The convertible runs on Chrome OS and comes with a 15.6-inch touchscreen full HD display with 1080×1920 pixel resolution. The Chromebook also offers support for Stylus and is powered by Intel Core i7 processor with Intel Xe graphics. The laptop offers 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB storage.

The laptop houses a 57Whr battery which claims to offer up to 11 hours of battery backup on a single charge.
