CES 2021: Fossil unveils 5th Generation smartwatch with LTE support – Gadgets News


Smart wearable brand Fossil has showcased its 5th Generation smartwatch at the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2021. Officially called the Fossil Gen 5 LTE Touchscreen Smartwatch, the device runs on WearOS.

The smartwatch is priced at $349 (approx Rs 25,500) for the US market.

The new smartwatch supports 4G cellular connectivity. This means that users can answer call via the smartwatch even if they leave behind their phone. It is currently available for Android users only and over the Verizon network only.

Fossil Gen 5 LTE Touchscreen Smartwatch is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100. The device offers support for Google Pay, Google Fit and Google Assistant.

The smartwatch is compatible with third-party apps as well. Health features available on the device include an optimised activity tracker, sleep tracker and heart rate monitor.

Fossil has also launched two special Michael Kors brand editions of the smartwatch. These include the Darci and MKGO editions priced at $350 and $250.

The Darci edition of Fossil Gen 5 LTE smartwatch features embedded crystals circling the face and is equipped with a seven-link bracelet.

While, the MKGO edition features a sporty look with silicone straps and an aluminium case.

Jorn Hybrid HR smartwatch is the company’s another offering showcased at CES 2021. It is an hybrid smartwatch under Skagen brand and offers a 27.9mm e-ink display. It is priced at $195.
