To cater those audiences, DC is relaunching its comics app on January 21 as DC Universe Infinite.
The previous app used to feature both TV shows and comics.
Now with TV shows moving to streaming platforms, DC will be focusing on comics and fan community with its rebranded app.
The DC Universe Infinite app will feature the same subscription price of $7.99 per month as before. The yearly subscription costs $74.99.
But it will include DC’s catalog and early access to comics including Deep Dives, Batman: Gotham Nights, DCeased: Hope at World’s End, Harley Quinn: Black + White + Red, Injustice: Year Zero, Shazam!: Lightning Strikes, Superman: Man of Tomorrow, Swamp Thing: New Roots and Wonder Woman 84, and many more.
The app will also feature Infinite Original comic books.
According to DC, the app will now feature a better and improved comic reader and they have also added more options to create custom lists of titles.
The app will be available for both Android and iOS operating systems and it will also come with a new widget for iOS 14.
For those unaware, Marvel already has a similar app called Marvel Unlimited. The app is comic focused and offers collection and access of all the comics at one place.
The major difference between Unlimited and Infinite is that DC has tried to undercut the subscription price by around $2 compared to Marvel’s $9.99.
