According to a report by Engadget, Instagram is already showing the Stories in a new carousel. “Navigation is still the same — you can manually click through the Stories or let them play automatically — but it’s now easier to keep track of where you are in your queue,” says the report by Engadget.
While the number of people who are part of this trial is not revealed but a spokesperson of the company has mentioned that it is appearing to a “small group” of users last month. As of now, it is not confirmed when it will be rolled out publicly.
In related news, last month, Instagram announced a new version of Instagram Lite and the second edition of the ‘Born on Instagram’ creator program at the ‘Facebook Fuel For India’ programme.
The Instagram Lite app is less than 2MB in size and is built to deliver an Instagram experience for low-memory phones specifically. The app will be available in Bangla, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu.
Other than this, it also announced the second version of Born on Instagram. The program was announced in November 2019 to discover, grow and showcase creators from all across the country. Now in the next edition, the program has been attuned to incorporate the new features on Instagram, especially Reels.
