M1 MAC Bluetooth Problem: Apple may resolve M1 Mac Bluetooth connectivity ‘issue’ soon – Latest News

Apple launched the new MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and Mac mini with its own M1 chipset in November. Soon after users bought their new M1 machines, some started complaining about Bluetooth connectivity issues. While Apple hadn’t acknowledged the issue then, it seems like a fix is on the way. According to a report by The 8-bit, Apple has confirmed the fix to a tech writer from The Atlantic. Ian Bogost, who writes for The Atlantic, tweeted that Apple has confirmed to him that a solution is in the works. “Solved my M1 Mac Bluetooth issues by plugging in my keyboard and buying a Logitech mouse with its own Bluetooth dongle. (Apple tells me a MacOS fix is in progress and forthcoming just about anytime. But jeez.)”

He further said that it was ‘someone’ from Apple Support that had told him about a fix and not someone in official capacity at the company.

However, if the Apple Support staff’s response is true then it means that it will be via a software update. The Bluetooth connectivity issue on M1 Macs isn’t something hat is hardware related.

The main issue with Bluetooth connectivity on M1 devices would’ve been irksome for those who connect external devices. With Bluetooth connectivity hampered, connecting a mouse/monitor or any other device would’ve been an issue.

For the uninitiated, Apple’s M1 chipset arrived in November on the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and Mac mini. The M1 chip is considerably faster than the Intel processors found in the previous-generation MacBooks.
