Microsoft announces Surface Pro 7 plus with Intel Tiger Lake processors, LTE and more


Microsoft usually does not have a lot to talk about at CES. This year, the company has dropped a surprise package in the form of Surface Pro 7+.

Now, as the name implies, it’s Surface Pro 7 with noteworthy upgraded internals. That means, the new device retains a similar design from its predecessor.

The new Surface Pro 7+ brings several new features to the table including upgraded CPU, RAM, connectivity options, etc.

However, the most notable change here is the addition of removable SSD storage.

Another important thing to note is that the device will initially be available for business users and students.

Microsoft Surface Pro 7+: Price
Surface Pro 7+ will b e available in two colour options — Matte Black and Platinum.

Surface Pro 7+ (Wi-Fi): Starts at $899 (approximately Rs 66,000)
Surface Pro 7+ (LTE): $1,149 (approximately Rs 84,000)

The laptop is set to go on sale in select regions that include North America, Europe and Asia.

Microsoft Surface Pro 7+: Upgrades
The first and most noticeable upgrade is the addition of LTE as the connectivity option. However, it’s only available with Intel Core i5 processor.

The LTE on Surface Pro 7+ supports both physical SIM as well as eSIM.

The laptop also comes with the latest 11th-generation Intel Tiger Lake processors that claims to offer better performance without compromising on battery life.

As far as battery is concerned, the Surface Pro 7+ packs the biggest one in the entire Surface Pro lineup.

Apart from that, Microsoft has also redesigned the thermal system of the laptop. It now comes with bigger vents for better air intake.
