Moto E7i gets BIS certified, may launch soon in India – Mobiles News

Moto E7i has allegedly appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification site. According to a tipster, the phone was spotted on the BIS website with model number XT2097-16. The model number is identical to the one spotted on Thailand’s NBTC website earlier- XT2097-14. Only the last two digits of the model numbers are different which is presumably the country code.

The BIS listing does not reveal much about the Moto E7i smartphone. But it is likely that the handset may be launched in the country in the coming days.

For those unaware, Motorola has announced to launch Moto E7 in India on February 19. In a post on microblogging site Twitter, the company said that the smartphone will be unveiled via an online event at 12 pm on February 19.

The tweet reveals that Moto E7 Power will be equipped with a 6.5-inch HD+ screen. The handset will pack 4GB RAM paired with an internal storage capacity of 64GB. Moto E7i smartphone will be available in the country via Walmart-owned Flipkart.

The device will be backed by a 5000mAh battery as revealed by the company. The tweet also shares an image of the upcoming phone. One can see a vertically aligned triple rear camera setup. For safety and security, Moto E7 Power will be equipped with a fingerprint scanner.
