The update was largely available for users in European countries. It brought features like ability to remove location data from photos while sharing them online and Zoom Lock in the camera app.
While there is no official statement from Samsung, it is being alleged that the update has been put on hold due to performance issues of the device. Samsung Galaxy S20 FE users who updated their mobile to the latest firmware version reported to face problems like battery drain, unreliable SMS notifications and general slow-downs.
To recall, Samsung Galaxy S20 FE was launched in October last year. It then came equipped with Android 10 based operating system.
The smartphone offers a 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with 1080x2400pixel resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It comes with an Infinity-O display.
The device is powered by a 7nm Exynos 990 processor. Samsung Galaxy S20 FE houses a 4500mAh battery and packs 8GB of RAM.
The handset has a 32MP camera at the front. The rear camera system comprises a 12MP+12MP+8MP lens with up to 3 times optical zoom and 30 times digital zoom.
